creating Your Bespoke cake

design

Whether you have decided on a design for your bespoke birthday cake, wedding cake or celebration cake, or perhaps you are a little confused as to where to start. Together, we can gather a few attractive ideas with a chat and a no obligation consultation.

For wedding cakes it is always good to have elements such as invites, flower designs, fabric swatches, decor of the event, as these are always handy to compliment the creative visual aspect of the design. Whatever the occasion, birthday, baby shower, anniversary or office party, it is useful to talk through some ideas.

Following our chat, I may send you a sketch of how I would approach your finished unique cake and put forward my quote.

Decorate

My celebration cake designs are finished with a white chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream or simply a chocolate ganache, showing my signature style.

Cake shapes can go any which way, in keeping with a tendency of going up. Be it a tiered wedding cake, a face forward birthday cake or a rectangular, cylindrical or ‘cut and paste’ cake. They all make for an exciting design.

Decorated with a choice of edible garnishes only.

Adding colour using natural pigments, adorned with food safe and sustainable elements such as seasonal organic (non pesticide) fresh or dried edible flowers, aromatic foliage, chocolate, wafer paper sculpture, fruits and berries, to name a few.

Creating a unique and exquisitely delicious celebration cake with ‘WOW’ factor and finesse.

deliver

Your cake is finished, generally, on the day of your event. Emphasising on the freshness and of the highest quality.

It is ready for collection, with a few things to bear in mind upon collection….

Your cake will be presented in an unlamented cardboard box, ready for recycling afterwards and wrapped in cellulose wrap which can go in your compost! However, careful handling is required. It needs to be transported on a flat surface, in a cool ambient temperature out of direct sunlight or car air vents.

Once you’ve collected your cake and it has left my premises, I cannot be responsible for any damage caused to it before delivery.

On arrival at your venue, the cake is safe to keep at an ambient room temperature for several hours, but avoid placing it in direct sunlight as this may cause it to be unstructurally sound.

For a quoted fee, I can deliver.

For wedding cakes or cakes which have internal structures, I prefer to deliver and complete the set up myself. This service minimises packaging and ensures that you receive your unique cake in its finest and freshest condition, stress free and one less thing for you to worry about.
